In September of 2021, Artwestimage photographers ventured to San Francisco as the "destination" locale for a 17-day road trip. When the team arrived on a Friday morning, they began cramming as much of "The City" as possible into their long-weekend stay, as you can see from their trip-planner map below. They were all over the place, using a Ram pickup truck, the cable cars, a double-decker tour bus and, of course, hoofing it. Our photographers had quite a few locations planned as part of their itinerary, but they also took in things as they came. The weather didn't always cooperate, but improved considerably, and they enjoyed brilliant sunshine on Sunday. Collectively, their efforts resulted in hundreds of images of "The City".

Featured in this gallery are the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hyde Street Pier, Fisherman's Wharf, St. Ignatius Cathedral, Chinatown, Haight-Ashbury, Tenderloin, Nob Hill, the Financial District, the Bay Bridge, Salesforce and Transamerica Towers and panoramic views of the bay. Not your standard tourist images, our team opted for eclectic scenes, attempting to capture the beauty, character and overall vibe of "The City by the Bay".
