  • Title:  Havasu Canyon Portrait
  • Description:  Havasu Falls, on the Havasupai Reserve, south of Grand Canyon requires hiking a 12 mile trek from Hilltop to Supai, then to the falls location. Artwestimage image staff visited the site in 2007, prior to the big floods from August of 2008. The current hieght of the falls has been lowered via a narrow channel at the lip of the canyon. The falls is not as dramatic as it appeared here in 2007 It will take several decades for the travertine to build up enough to regain the leveling effect that this image depicts.
