  • Title:  Warrior's at Defiance House
  • Description:  Defiance House is named after the warrior pictographs on the cliff above the ruin. Defiance House was occupied by Anasazi from approximately A.D. 1250 to 1285. It is believed that the structures were occupied by one or two extended families of 15 to 20 people. Artwestimage.com expedition team members visited the site in April of 2014, where this image depicts one of the group getting up close and personal to the "warriors". It makes one wonder the lengths that the artist went to in getting up to the required level on the alcove wall to paint the motif.
