  • Title:  Coit Tower from Trolley Car
  • Description:  At the corner of Columbia and Lombard Streets, and from the window of one of San Francisco's iconic trolley cars, Coit Tower stands atop Telegraph Hill. Built in 1933 with funds bequeathed by Lillian Hitchcock Coit, in honor of all the volunteer firefighters of San Francisco, the 210-foot tall Coit Tower resembles an enormous Roman column. It's known for the stunning, 360-degree views from the top and the murals painted by artists for the Public Works of Art Project
