- Title: Peter and Paul Church at Washington Square
- Description: The first location of the church was on the corner of Filbert Street and Grant Avenue. The San Francisco fire and earthquake of 1906 burned this structure to the ground. The present church, with its twin lofty spires that soar 191 feet into the sky, was completed in 1924. The magnificent rose window measures fourteen feet in diameter. For over a century, the church of Peter and Paul has served parishioners, charmed the tourists who visit it daily, and has been an inspiration to the citizens of the North Beach.
