- Description: The Needles is a of series of spires spanning over a mile on the Delancy Ridge in the Northern Cascades. From tree line, the rock eminence towers some 2000 feet along the ridgeline, which at its highest point (East Peak) stands at 8,140 feet. This peak, according to PeakBagger, has only seen about two dozen ascents since its first ascent in June, 1968.
