- Description: Burrard Inlet, in northwestern Vancouver, British Columbia is the home of Coal Harbor, home to the Vancouver Rowing Club. Established in 1899 when the Burrard Inlet Rowing Club joined the Vancouver Boating Club, the harbor has played an important part in the athletic and social life of Vancouver. It is named Coal Harbour because it does contain coal. Over the last 20 years, the neighborhood has developed into one of the priciest and most vibrant neighborhoods of Vancouver with thousands of condos! This photograph is taken from the boating club's dock, over the harbor toward the interior of downtown Vancouver.
