- Title: The Ancient One
- Description: A juniper pine dominates the foreground, long past its prime. Monument Valley includes much of the area surrounding Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, a Navajo Nation equivalent to a national park. Visitors may pay an access fee and drive through the park on a 17-mile dirt road, and has several sites along the 2-3 hour drive that elicit at least one photograph. This image was taken in 2007, showing Merrick Butte and Rain God Mesa in the background, behind the "Ancient One".
